Hero’s Journey Used for “Translating Data into Actionable Insights and Better Decisions”

The classic Hero’s journey below – this is what you need to take your audience on.

The Hero’s Journey version of “Translating Data into Actionable Insights and Better Decisions” Presentation. Numbers below correspond to the journey above.

  1. Let audience know that everybody is talking about big data and we’ve been talking about it for years [show list of conference presentations]
  2. Then tell that that it is wrong. No action has happened and there are better ways to approach data than just ‘big data’ [show what other industries do]
  3. Show them the change needed to approach data handling better [2 by 2 grid of low/high commonality vs low/high collaboration]
  4. Announce the Cash Cycle Partnership and DLR Analytics [simple summary of what it is]
  5. Show the audience that others have already committed [15 pilots]
  6. Acknowledge there is work [need to collect data and put it in]
  7. Force audience to think about things differently [cv versus notelife curve]
  8. Get them imagining that they can compare their data to a global average. However point out that direct comparisons may be meaningless because of different fitness standards etc.
  9. Emphasise that the trends will still be useful and that it would be possible to connect to a cash cycle twin
  10. Let them see that it is risk free / remove any reason not to give it a go [show security aspects of DLR Anlaytics]
  11. Remind them of the overall idea.
  12. Show them the way to sign-up and proceed [try it out, download the up, talk to us].

And this is the final presentation
